Make sure to be ready to arrive early and stay late because there is always a “before” and “after” for every meeting, where the members of the group gather outside and talk. Make sure during opening remarks that you raise your hand to let the group know this is your first meeting. Don’t forget to inquire about a meeting list, with contact information of the group members. Last, but certainly not least don’t hesitate to raise your hand and speak, share the story that lead you to this meeting.
